This policy applies to the qwasar.ch website, the qompta.qwasar.ch presentation site and the Qompta software. It describes what Qwasar processes and also what it does not.
Server logs: on every visit to qwasar.ch or qompta.qwasar.ch, the server records the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser used and the referring page. These logs serve only the security and proper operation of the websites.
Audience measurement on qwasar.ch: Umami counts visits without a cookie or any persistent identifier. The statistics are aggregated and cannot identify you. qompta.qwasar.ch does not measure its audience.
Contact form: name, email address and message, which you send us voluntarily.
Server logs and the spam protection of the form (Cloudflare Turnstile) rest on our legitimate interest in securing the websites. Audience measurement rests on our legitimate interest in understanding how qwasar.ch is used without identifying anyone.
Contact form data is used solely to handle and answer your request (steps taken at your request).
Qompta runs entirely on your computer. It requires no account, sends no data over the internet and contains no telemetry: no usage statistics and no automatic error reports.
What you enter (companies, clients, invoices, entries) is stored in an encrypted database on your machine. Qwasar has no access to it: for this data, Qwasar is neither controller nor processor. If you store third-party data in it, you are the controller of that data.
Only you know the recovery key. Qwasar can neither retrieve it nor decrypt your data on your behalf.
The Qompta source code and installers are hosted on GitHub, a service of GitHub, Inc. (United States). Viewing the code or downloading the software falls under GitHub’s privacy statement: GitHub processes this data as an independent controller and may transfer it to the United States. Qwasar receives no personal data from these downloads.
Your data is neither sold nor used for advertising. We rely on the following processors, which handle data on our behalf: Infomaniak Network SA (hosting of the websites, in Switzerland), Umami (audience measurement on qwasar.ch), Cloudflare Turnstile (form protection) and an email service (delivery of emails).
Some of these providers, in particular Umami and Cloudflare, may process data outside Switzerland, notably in the European Union or in the United States. Such transfers are made only to countries offering adequate protection or subject to appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
Server logs are deleted after 14 days.
Contact form data is not kept in a database: it is used to send an email, then kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
The consent cookie is kept for six months if you accept functional cookies, for one day if you decline them.
Connections to both websites are encrypted (HTTPS). We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data, as well as to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights: contact@qwasar.ch.
If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern (www.edoeb.admin.ch). Individuals residing in the European Union may contact their national supervisory authority.
