General Terms of Use (GTU)

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Purpose

These General Terms of Use (GTU) govern access to and use of the websites qwasar.ch and qompta.qwasar.ch, published by Qwasar Gerber RI in Switzerland. By accessing and browsing these websites, users accept these terms without reservation.

They set out how the websites, the services presented and the software made available may be used, as well as the rights and obligations of the publisher and of users.

Access to the websites

Access to the websites is free of charge. The publisher reserves the right to suspend, restrict or interrupt access at any time, notably for maintenance or security reasons, without notice or compensation.

Use of the websites

Users undertake to use the websites fairly, not to impair their operation and not to attempt unauthorised access to protected areas.

Any abusive, fraudulent or unlawful use may lead to restricted access and legal action.

Intellectual property

All content on the websites (texts, images, graphics, code, structure) is protected by copyright and remains the exclusive property of Qwasar Gerber RI. Any reproduction, copy, adaptation or distribution, even partial, is prohibited without prior written permission.

The source code of software published by Qwasar, including Qompta, is governed by its own licence. The names and brand elements of this software remain reserved.

Software distributed by Qwasar

Qompta and any other software published by Qwasar are governed first by their licence, published with the code. Where it conflicts with these GTU, the licence prevails.

This software is provided free of charge “as is”, without warranty of any kind, in particular of fitness for a particular purpose or of freedom from errors.

Qompta helps keep the books. It replaces neither a fiduciary nor tax advice. Users check the amounts calculated, in particular those of the VAT return, before entering them on the FTA portal: they remain solely responsible for their returns.

Data is stored only on the user’s computer. It is up to users to make regular backups and to keep their recovery key in a safe place: without it, nobody can recover the encrypted data, not even Qwasar.

To the extent permitted by Swiss law, any liability of Qwasar Gerber RI for damage arising from the use of this software is excluded, except in cases of intent or gross negligence (art. 100 CO).

Liability

The publisher does its best to keep the information on the websites accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee that it is complete. It accepts no liability for errors, omissions or unavailability of the websites.

Users are solely responsible for how they use the websites and the information found there.

External links

The site may contain links to other websites. The publisher has no control over these sites and disclaims any liability regarding their content or privacy policies.

Personal data and cookies

The processing of personal data and the use of cookies are described in the privacy policy and the cookie policy. qwasar.ch uses only the bare minimum of cookies and measures its audience without cookies (Umami); qompta.qwasar.ch uses none.

Amendments to the GTU

The publisher may amend these GTU at any time. Amendments take effect upon publication on the site; it is the user’s responsibility to review this page regularly.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These GTU are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the publisher’s registered seat, subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction.
