The official figures of the form are prefilled from your invoices, under the effective method or the net tax rate method.

The database lives in memory while you work. Only a file sealed with AES-256-GCM is ever written to disk. The key stays on your computer in the system vault. It is shown to you once as a recovery key: nobody else holds it.
Amounts are stored as whole cents and rates in basis points: no rounding makes a cent disappear. The VAT return uses the official FTA codes, from 200 to 910.
Nothing is irreversible. A deletion can be cancelled for five seconds, a change can be undone afterwards and an encrypted backup is written at every launch.
